
Dr. Charles Ume, Chairman of the Board
Dr. Ume is Professor and Director of the Advanced Electronic Packaging and Laser Processing Laboratory, at the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia and founded Akrometrix in 1993. Professor Ume received his Ph.D. in 1985 from the University of South Carolina in Mechanical Engineering, and has held the rank of Professor at Georgia Tech since 1999. Dr. Ume has been the Chairman of the Board for Akrometrix since its inception in 1993. He holds numerous patents and has published over 200 reviewed journal articles and books since 1985. As a prolific researcher he has mentored dozens of advanced degree students and has won numerous awards for his academic teaching skills. Dr. Ume is also the Founder and Chairman of Intergris, LLC.

Timothy J. Purdie, President and CEO
Timothy J. Purdie brings a solid track record of success and over 29 years of experience to his role as President/CEO at Akrometrix. Prior to joining Akrometrix, Timothy was President of Westgate International Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, value-sell, and lean manufacturing. Prior to Westgate International Ltd. he was Vice President of Sonix Corporation, an innovative semiconductor test and measurement company. Timothy currently serves on the Board of Directors for J2M Test Solutions, the Darmark Corporations and formerly Akrometrix. Timothy obtained a licensed certificate in Radiological Technology from Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor degree in Business from University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Daniel Flanagan Baldwin
Dr. Baldwin has been a leading expert in the Microelectronics Packaging industry for eight years. He was pursued and hired by Siemens to synthesize, construct, and run the Advanced Assembly Technology Division of Siemens Dematic serving as the Director and promoted to the Vice President of the Division. Dr. Baldwin subsequently led the efforts related to the management buy-out and formation of Engent.
Dr. Baldwin is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with specialization in Electronics Packaging, Electronics Manufacturing MEMS/MOEMS Packaging, and Board Assembly since 1995.
He received his Master of Science and his Doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and has over 250 published or delivered articles, scholarly papers, keynote addresses, conference proceedings, and textbooks. Dr. Baldwin held prior positions Bell Labs in Princeton, NJ, where his work focused on electronics products miniaturization and advanced interconnect technologies and MIT as a research manager. Baldwin is renown in the field of leading-edge electronics-assembly technology, micro (opto) electromechanical systems (MEMS/MOEMS) packaging, optoelectronics packaging, and advanced materials processing.

William D. Moorer
Mr. Moorer was formerly the President and CEO of Akrometrix. Prior to Akrometrix he founded Moorer & Associates, LLC, a boutique consultancy firm focused on assisting initial stage and small companies in operational excellence and risk management. Prior to Moorer & Associates, LLC, he served as Vice Chairman and COO of Techsonic Industries, Inc., a market leader in the development and manufacturing of marine electronics solutions including depth finders and GPS. Techsonic Industries Inc. was acquired by the Teleflex Corporation. Prior to Techsonic Industries Inc., Mr. Moorer held senior management positions at the Tenna Corporation, Electrolux Corporation and Aladdin Industries.
Mr. Moorer currently serves on the Bobby Dodd Institute Board of Directors and previously on the Board of Directors for Techsonic Industries Inc. and the Southern Bank of Commerce.
Mr. Moorer holds a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech.

Dr. Dongkai Shangguan
Dr. Shangguan is currently Vice President of Advanced Technology & Engineering Leadership with Flextronics, a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company. Prior to joining Flextronics, Dr. Shangguan worked at The Ford Motor Co. / Visteon Corporation for ten years in variety of technical and management positions.
Dr. Shangguan received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, Ph.D. degree in Materials from the University of Oxford, U.K., and MBA degree from the San Jose State University. He conducted post-doctoral teaching and research at the University of Cambridge and The University of Alabama, and is a Guest Professor at several universities. Dr. Shangguan has published 2 books and over 200 papers and articles, and has given numerous technical presentations and keynotes. He has over 20 U.S. and international patents issued and a number of U.S. and international patents pending.

S. Andrew McKay
Mr. McKay is currently a Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Banking at Hilliard Lyons Investment Banking. Mr. McKay joined Hilliard Lyons Investment Banking in 2010 upon its combination with bCatalyst Advisors, a regional M&A and business valuation firm. As CEO of bCatalyst, Mr. McKay led client engagements for the firm. Mr. McKay has over 30 years experience in executing middle-market M&A, investment, financial, valuation and other business transactions. Mr. McKay is a member of the Kentucky and Georgia bars, and the Kentucky Society of CPAs. He is accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. McKay serves on the Board of Advisors for Spalding University’s College of Business and Communication, and is a Board or Advisory Board Member of ACG Kentucky, Galen College of Nursing, Enterprise Corp (a division of Greater Louisville, Inc.), Citizens Union Bank and Engent. Mr. McKay has a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a JD (with honors) from the University of Georgia, School of Law.

Kevin George
Mr. George is a customer-focused, senior operating executive with a proven track record and 20+ years experience leading companies through periods of rapid growth, business transformations and turnarounds.
As an operating executive with leading technology-centric firms including Lexis/Nexis, ON Technology, Manhattan Associates, Silverpop, Merkle/Quris, and ClickSquared and through consulting engagements with companies such as Turner Broadcasting, CNN, Sparkfly and Renovo Data, he has used his extensive expertise in building high-performance teams to drive increased sales and profitability, optimize business processes and improve overall performance.
Mr. George holds a Bachelors degree from Antioch University's McGregor School of Management and is very active in the Atlanta technology community. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Software Association, Atlanta CEO Council, and the Host Committee of High Tech Ministries.
